Martin Taylor - Human Factors

Described mirror world and the importance of human factors. Emphasised that humans face data overload not information overload, since in the presence of too much data we ease to assimilate information.

Put forward the view that when data is sonified patterns are recognised more easily by humans.

 

In general aural alerting was considered to be efficient. Some participants also suggested tactile stimuli.
